Meet team 'Nortex'
Riding Quality mattersEven though on all those projects where we replaced the eroded base and stabilized the panels, if the panels wouldn’t lift and the ride quality didn’t greatly improve the agency would wonder what they actually paid for. About a year and a half ago we incorporated a new process of PolyGrinding and it has really taken off. The cost of this process is about 1/4 of full depth repair cost (panel replacement) and about ½ the cost of another process called Dowel Bar Retrofit. PolyGrinding significantly improves ride quality of the faulted concrete pavement. RoadBounce as a data acquisition toolI would intend to use your app to show what the roadways ride quality is before our process is done, and then another test after we have PolyGrinded the roadway. I think the IRI testing feature will help me show a poor ride number before and a good ride number after. believe I could also use it to provide a better roadway canvas to bring attention to problem areas that a particular city or DOT may not be aware of with the intent that our process would be the solution. Nortex Concrete Lift and Stabilization is a licensed contractor specialized in lifting and stabilizing concrete panels using highly specialized polyurethane foam systems. Roadways is known to be the most reliable modes of transport; facilitating easy and fast movement of traffic with door to door services, also having comparatively lesser construction costs than railways.
Did you know that India has one of the largest road networks in the world aggregating to about 2.3 million km at present? But as we break through reality we all know that not all roads are as smooth as they sound. Certain roads exist which contain potholes, cracks, or uneven surfaces that are unsafe to drive on; such roads are termed as 'Bad Roads' Most of the good and safe roads in India or anywhere else in the world, are turned into bad roads because of being left under construction or due to natural calamities like floods, landslides or even because of simple causes like heavy rains and accidents. More like, the road 'in' 2025.Today, Technological advancement can be seen in almost everything around us, from a tiny chip to automobiles and heavy machinery, but hardly anything is done to roads. As far as indian roads are concerned, we first have to think about the EXISTANCE of roads. Some roads are beautifully constructed like The National highway to Goa. It is a pleasurable drive, but at the same time, lots of areas are not well networked like small towns and most of it is not paved yet.
Anyway, we are talking about the future so lets take a look at it.There are individuals coming up with numerous amounts of ideas to improve the road conditions and avoid harm and accidents. If you imagine what it would look like in the year 2025, the possibilities are limitless.
Stats-asm!The Mumbai Pune Expressway is India’s first ever six lane expressway spanning over a vast distance of 94.5 kms.
Using Smartphones as time-bound IoT setup, can save huge capital investments. However, sensor data of a $10 phone is not always be as reliable as the one from a $500 phone. Differences arise in quality of data, frequency of data acquisition, consistency of data correctness or incorrectness, and due to calibration issues.

I belong to 'Jamshedpur' from Jharkhand. So for many years, I always thought Maharashtra had only two major cities: “Pune & Mumbai”!
Oddly enough, I started looking for a new job and got to know about Roadbounce project in Maharashtra state. During interview I came to know that the very first criteria is to travel continuously. Well, guess what! I love travelling!! so i decided to appear for interview and got selected for the same. Since I am not well-versed with 'Marathi', the native language of Maharashtra state, I was quite shy and reserved while starting up.. but all my concerns got faded away very soon as I traveled through this land of saints and warriors.. When I started my job with RoadBounce as a Field Operations team member, I was not aware that it would be such an interesting journey. After my interview, I thought it’s a boring job in need of constant travelling. I was very sure I will be searching for a new one within a month or so. But when I actually started working as a field engineer, I came to know that it’s a great opportunity to travel and explore some amazing places which I could have never seen in my life!
And I started a journey on the path of life, sure to create lots of memories to cherish.. Pothole-reporting apps, more ambulances and speed checks are no substitute for prevention. As with all public health approaches, road injury prevention requires effective management to put in place sustainable and evidence-based measures and overcome obstacles to implementing safe practices.
